| Founded in 1818, Amherst is the largest suburb of Buffalo, NY with a population of just over 120,000. It includes the Village of Williamsville, Eggertsville, Getzville, Snyder, Swormville and East Amherst. Amherst has been ranked as the Safest City in America multiple times - most recently in 2010. | The town of Clarence was the first town to be established in Erie County (1808). At one time it was named "Ta-Num-No-Ga-O", meaning place full of hickory bark. Population is currently just over 30,000 but continues to grow as many new residential homes are built in the town.
| Grand Island is the largest island in the Niagara River and the fourth largest in New York State. Midway between Buffalo and Niagara Falls, it is crossed by the I-90, providing easy access to Downtown Buffalo and also to Canada. The island is home to over 20,000 people. |

| South of Buffalo, Hamburg is home to just under 60,000 residents. It is bordered by Lake Erie, to the West, and Eighteen Mile Creek, to the South. Erie County Fair, the second largest county fair in the US, is held in Hamburg every August. | Lancaster is to the East of Buffalo with 39,000 residents. It is one of the fastest growing towns in Western New York and includes the villages of Lancaster and Depew. The Lancaster Opera House is well-known locally for its musicals and stage plays. | Named for the set of Erie canal locks within the town, Lockport is the county seat of Niagara County. The town contains many tourist attractions including cave tours and canal cruises. |

| Orchard Park is located to the South East of Buffalo and boasts the Ralph Wilson stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills. The Orchard Park landscape includes rolling hills and wooded areas, much of which is preserved as new communities are developed. | Pendleton is at the Southern edge of Niagara County and has a population of just over 6,000. Until recently, it was primarily an agricultural community but land is now being rezoned for residential subdivisions and business. | The northernmost "Southtown", West Seneca is a great community town with a large number of family-oriented events and festivals.
